Safe to Belong: A Trauma-Informed Workshop for Youth Workers

Great Northern University
611 E Indiana Ave, Spokane, WA

May 20, 2026 - 9-11am

Practical training to help youth workers better understand the effects of trauma and thoughtfully support youth who are struggling.

Do you work with youth from challenging backgrounds? This workshop is designed for you.

We’re partnering with Great Northern University to host a practical, relationship-focused training for local youth workers. During this 2-hour workshop, participants will gain a deeper understanding of trauma, the impact of high ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) scores, and meaningful ways to support youth with care and compassion.

Our hope is to create a welcoming space for learning, conversation, and shared tools that leaders can take back into their churches, ministries, and community settings.

Whether you serve as a youth pastor, mentor, volunteer, coach, or support youth in another capacity, we would love for you to join us. Youth pastors are encouraged to bring their teams as well.

However you partner with your church or community to support young people and share Christ’s love with them, we hope you’ll be part of this meaningful event.
