National Day of Prayer Events

Community members are invited on Thursday, May 4 to TWO local National Day of Prayer events. All are welcome to come out and pray for our country, churches, educational system, media, government, businesses, military and families.

First, at Noon, Spokane Prays will host the annual National Day of Prayer Celebration at the North Bank Park Shelter (next to the Ice Age Playground) at Riverfront Park, (Noon-1:30 pm). The theme will be unity, reconciliation and healing. We'll be praying in the spirit of 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people will humble themselves and pray...I will heal their land." Community leaders will guide our prayers in the arenas of government, churches & non-profits, refugees and homelessness, family and youth, education and business. 

Secondly, an evening National Day of Prayer service will occur at Sheltering Tree Pentecostal Church in Spokane. Keynote speaker will be Chaplin (Lt. Col.) James Whiteley from the 141st ARW/HC at Fairchild AFB. This program will honor ALL service industry individuals as well. From 7 to 8pm.
